Your name can say so much about who you are!

It can help you stand out or help you stay under the radar. It can help open the door to career opportunities or shut it in your face. It’s all relative to individual perspective…

What’s in a name?

"Sometimes JUSTICE doesn't feel good, but it's the right thing to do."

I had an enlightening discussion with my great friend Tareya Palmer, she’s an advocate for social justice and self-proclaimed fashion lover who has experienced and jumped over several life roadblocks. A stubborn-independent girl, who found a way to put herself through college and grad school, with a kind spirit, who is always happy to help others.

EPISODE RECAP

We talked about what it’s like to have a “ethnically-identifiable” name, how the word JUSTICE has changed her life, and the importance of embracing your uniqueness whether that’s through your name, your heritage or your personality.

What do you think is in a name? Do you feel ethnically-specific names are holding people back? Do you have your own story of name-shame you’d like to share?
